Deliboys + Cold Layers at Northeast Square Building, Greenhills

Good morning everyone.

It's back to work for me.

Let me make your "hangover Monday" more difficult by bombarding you with salivating food photos!

HA HA HA! >:D

We have been dining at Deliboys for several times now because my ama ( grandma ) loves it there. That is surprising because she is one picky eater. She does not like Western food much.

They sell imported cheeses, steaks and other cold cuts at very competitive prices.

I believe he is one of the owners and the chef of this delightful deli shop.

When we went to have dinner at Deliboys, the shop was full since it only has about 10 seating capacity. The owners then arranged for us to have our meal at their neighboring restaurant which is the Cold Layers.

Good thing, Cold Layers was only half filled.

While waiting for our orders, they gave us our favorite Japanese magazines to browse on.

SOUP DE JOUR ( MUSHROOM SOUP ) P180

3 minutes later, our orders started to arrive. First was this soup. It was my first time to order mushroom soup and what I liked about it was they drizzled a hefty amount of good quality truffle oil but what I didn't like was it tasted bland.

NACHOS P180

We always order the nachos because the cheese sauce is made from pure cheddar cheese melted with a bit of milk. I know this for a fact because I snooped on the chef while he was making it.

BRATWURST P90

Tasty and crispy.

SEARED HALIBUT P450

The fish was cooked perfectly and the serving was big.

RISOTTO TARTUFFO P400

My personal favorite. Deliboys do not scrimp on their truffle oil.

ORGANIC STEAK P1000

The steak was still tender even though we had it cooked well-done. The gravy sauce was not that interesting but when you eat the steak with both the gravy and the balsamic drizzle, it tasted fabulous.

For dessert, I ordered a cup of that but my camera battery died so I was not able to take an actual photo of the cold treat. It was half mango and half strawberry flavored shaved ice with fresh mangoes and strawberries on the side. Yummy!

Have A Lovely Day!
