Din Tai Fung at Silvercord Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

We crossed over to Hong Kong for a day to shop and dine. After spending an hour and a half getting all the stuff we liked from H&M Silvercord Mall, we went straight to Din Tai Fung located at the mall's third floor to reserve tables.

This steel printed article greeted us in front of Din Tai Fung restaurant.

All of the tables were taken! Good thing we went there before 12 so we were first in the waiting list.

You can see the experts making dumplings.

TOSSED SHREDDED BEANCURD W/ SEAWEED AND BEAN SPROUTS IN VINEGAR DRESSING HKD32

Spicy and sour.

HOME-MADE HAM JELLY HKD52

Cold and weird. It was like eating spam encased in jell-o.

TOSSED SLICED CUCUMBER W/ CHILI AND GARLIC HKD32

SAUTEED FLOWERING CHINESE CABBAGE HKD42

STEAMED CRAB ROE AND PORK DUMPLINGS HKD78

They use Shanghai specialty Hairy-Fisted Crab roe. Cholesterific GOOD!

EGG FRIED RICE SERVED W/ DEEP FRIED PORK CHOP HKD68

This was gone in no time that we had to order another one.

STEAMED BLACK TRUFFLE PORK DUMPLINGS HKD168

No words can best describe the taste of this dumpling.. They definitely did not scrimp on the truffle.

SHRIMP AND PORK WONTON SOUP HKD45

Tasted just ok.

PRESERVED DUCK'S TONGUE W/ SHAOXING RICE WINE HKD72

Auntie said eating duck tongue will make a person be more talkative.

STEAMED TARO PASTE DUMPLINGS HKD38

We capped our lunch off with this tasty taro treat.

That was a good heavy lunch to give us more strength to do more walking and shopping!

Have A Lovely Day!

  2. This is great, I got hungry! Dumplings are traditionally Polish but these look totally different and have a different filling, so I wonder what these would taste like!:))
