Destination: Macau

My photo diary of our 6 day vacation in Macau last October 24 to 29.

Feel free to check it out.

This is the Casino Lisboa. There's a Robuchon a Galera inside which I have yet to try.

New mall inside Conrad Hotel Taipa.

Zara occupies 3 full stores. Can't wait to go there when it's on sale!

San Malo or Senado Square

My everyday shopping place.

Sparkly Tree inside MGM Hotel. Best to see during nighttime.

New Yaohan is the biggest shopping mall in Macau. The fast food located at the 8th floor is wonderful. I always have a bowl of my favorite Ton Katsu Donburi from Sakura Tei.

Golden Lotus Square. The lotus flower in full bloom symbolizes the everlasting prosperity of Macau. The sculpture was presented by the State Council of the People's Republic of China in 1999 to mark the Macau sovereignty transfer from Portugal to the PRC.

The best and easiest Macau prepared simcard.

The 180 degrees view outside my room. The Fisherman's Wharf.

Senado Square at night.

Beautiful night lights can be seen all around.

Macau people obey the rules so you cannot just hail taxi anywhere. The taxi will only stop at taxi stands.

One can see a lot of scattered cards at night.

?!?

Students dancing tradition Portuguese dance. I couldn't stop staring at the ladies because most of them are half Chinese and half Portuguese. SOO BEAUTIFUL!

Lunch of beef innards.

Galaxy Macau

Barbie exhibit.

Watched Taken 2 for the second time.

Macau Food Pasalubong = Koi Kei Bakery

Galaxy Macau at night. Don't forget to catch the amazing laserama show ( shown every 15 mins ) at night.

Have A Lovely Day!

  1. hello!:) Your photos make me want to go to Macau!I've only been to HK once, and plan to go back there next year. Is it cheaper to shop in Macau than HK or same lang prices? And if you're coming to Macau from HKG, is it easy to get a visa?I hope you could also post some guidelines about this.
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Kat! It is pretty much the same price lang going to Macau and Hong Kong. There is no visa needed when entering Macau. A lot of people just stay in Hong Kong and do a day trip or have an overnight stay in Macau, if you are going to do this, you just have to take the turbo jet which will costs about HKD 300+ round trip from Hong Kong. There are lot of hotels in Macau depending on your budget. Venetian Hotel is the top choice by many but it is a bit pricey. Holiday Inn Taipa is not that expensive and the hotel is not bad at all. ( Check Agoda and do also check the different hotels website cause some may mga promos. ie Venetian, Sands, Lisboa, Wynn, Conrad, Hilton, Galaxy, Hardrock, Sofitel, Sheraton, Grand Hyatt, City of Dreams, MGM, etc ) If you have more questions please do not hesitate to ask here! :D
