TWG Tea Salon & Boutique at Greenbelt 5

Here is the last entry of my birthday celebration series. I had a beautiful brunch with another group of gorgeous girlfriends at the recently opened TWG Tea Salon and Boutique located at Greenbelt 5. Goldi and I went to the salon the second week it opened but there was a long wait list and we were starving so we just ate at a different cafe. TWG does not accept phone reservations so one must really queue up and have your name booked by the receptionist there.

Our waiting time was about 30 minutes. While waiting we checked the goods they sell at the boutique area. Since I am attracted to anything shiny and bright, look what caught my attention!

We mostly ordered sets because they seem to be worth the price rather than ordering the meal, the drink, and the dessert separately. A brunch set includes a pot of tea, a glass of freshly squeezed juice, an entree, 2 pieces of scones or muffins with tea jelly and clotted cream, and a piece of cake.

Here they are:

GOURMET SET P750

Ceej got the following from her Gourmet Brunch Set. As long as there is truffle oil in the dish, Ceej would no doubt order that!
  • A pot of 1837 signature black tea, with red berries, caramel and star anise
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Scrambled Eggs - Fresh  farmhouse eggs scrambled with a choice of Matcha Green Tea, white truffle oil and served with smoked salmon and a mixed salad with baby spinach shoots and marinated shrimp.
  • French brioche toasts served with TWG Tea Jelly
  • Singaporean Specialty Cake ( The best out of the 3 cakes we tried that day! )

GOVERNOR SET P900

Em got this and she loved it.
  • A pot of the Moon leaf tea? Or was is moonlight? Basta it sounded like that, and this was the best tasting tea we got out of the three pots we ordered.
  • Chicken en Brochette - Pan seared chicken brochette flavoured with wholegrain mustard served with rice and a colorful melange of capsicum and pineapple drizzled with a Timeless Tea infused sauce
  • One scone and one muffin with TWG Tea Jelly and whipped cream
  • White cake with fruits ( I don't even remember if it was a cheesecake or just plain chiffon cake so don't bother to order this. )

TWG SEAFOOD LASAGNA P420

Since Goldi didn't like any of the entrees from the brunch set, she got an a la carte. She also loved her order.

PACIFIC SET P995

After taking pictures of everyone's meal, I forgot to take my own. (-_-) Good thing we asked the waitstaff to get our table's photo including our meals.
  • A pot of Love Me Tea
  • Freshly squeezed apple juice
  • Seared Macha Salmon - Seared Matcha salmon fillet accompanied by green peas, carrots, cauliflower and yellow squash drizzled with balsamic vinegar caramel and Matcha Green Tea oil. ( We could hardly taste the teas infused in our food so don't worry about thinking of tasting something weird and the vegetables in my salmon were super tough so I didn't eat them anymore. )
  • One scone and one muffin with TWG Tea Jelly and whipped cream
  • Chocolate cake with green tea

They gave me 3 wishes.

The ladies who lunch.

Have A Lovely Day!
