CRU Steakhouse at Marriott Hotel Manila

After our fun and relaxing lunch celebrating our cousin Beverly's Debut Party, at night it was dinner time with the companion's family. I was craving for steak so they said we should have dinner at CRU Steakhouse.

I like the ambiance and interiors of CRU Steakhouse. It has this intimate and romantic feel to it.

Reservation Name Plates. You can have one custom-made to your name for a whopping P3000.

That's me feeling excited for our meal ahead.

View from our table.

COMPLIMENTARY BREAD

Parmesan Bread at the top, Spinach Bread at the middle, and Tomato Bread at the bottom. The freshly baked bread was served with herb butter and goat cheese.

OUR DRINK ORDERS

Mine: Classic Mojito, extra lime, extra mint but no rum
The companion's: Sirius Merlot / Caernet Boreaux 2009, French Red Wine
The companion's dad: Montes Alfa Cabernet Sauvignon, Limited Edition, Chilean Red Wine ( I wrote these 2 loooooong names of the wines they had. lol #allforthesakeofblogging )

SEARED FOIE GRAS P910

Grape relish, toasted brioche, mango glaze. The companion and I shared this appetizer but he mostly gave all the Foie Gras to me to enjoy. He knows how much I love it.

AUSTRALIAN TAJIMA WAGYU ( RIB EYE ) 350GM P4500

Ladies and gentleman, I proudly present to you one of the best steaks you'll ever have in the Metro! It was cooked to perfection. The steak was lightly marbled with fat. I was not able to finish this entire 350gm of meat so I gave a portion to Dex and Uncle.

For our free side dishes, we got 2 BLACK TRUFFLE RISOTTO and 2 GRILLED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOMS. These two are our favorites out of all the side dishes we tried before. Don't get the creamed spinach, it's too salty.

From the condiments cart I asked for the TRUFFLED MUSTARD. The sauce had a strong truffle taste to it.

JUMBO ASIAN TIGER PRAWNS P1200

Dex wanted something light so he ate this along with a portion of the steak. I find the prawns too fresh and ocean-y in taste??! I am not sure if you get what I mean but maybe I like my prawns overcooked.

BASIL CRUSTED SEA BASS P1520

Uncle also wanted something light for dinner. He gave me half of this so I also gave him a portion of my steak too. I didn't like the fried basil on top. It tasted like dry sawdust.

What a truly delightful Sunday night meal.

Have A Lovely Day!
