My Dichi's Dinner Party at Home

Hello everyone! I'm back!!!

Sorry for the two-week long hiatus.. It was mainly due to laziness or perhaps stress but the important thing now is we are back in blogging business!

So, last Sunday, my dichi ( 2nd eldest sister ) and her husband Ahya Stewart threw a simple dinner party at their new home. All the dishes served were cooked by them. You got a " food blogger " wannabe in the house so prepare to hear an honest review.

That's my dichi by the way slaving in her AMAZING kitchen!

Party food:

MISUA

Rice noodles were sticking together but the nice comforting flavor of a misua dish was there. The coriander leaves added a nice fresh taste to it as well.

BABY BACK RIBS

The barbeque sauce was made from scratch by Ahya Stewart. He baked and checked the ribs for at least 3 hours. The ribs were SOOO GOOD!!! Watch out Tony Romas!

PRAWN THERMIDOR

Another dish made by Ahya Stewart. The prawns were overcooked but I like my crustaceans overcooked. So I will rate this dish as GOOD!

STEAMED VEGETABLE WITH HOLLANDAISE SAUCE

I saw my sister making the perfect Hollandaise sauce but before serving, she diluted it with a bit of water because she thought it was too thick ( facepalm! ). Everyone just got a piece and didn't touch the pot for the rest of the evening.

ROASTED STORE BOUGHT TURKEY

Everyone said the meat was tender. This was served with store bought mint jelly and gravy.

FRIED TOFU WITH BLACK MUSHROOMS IN SOYA SAUCE

I don't know who made this but it was ok.

PORK WONTON SOUP

Ahya Stewart's mommy made this. The soup was super tasty. Both Samara and Skylar had this for dinner.

BANANA TURON

Almond Jelly with Peaches and Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies ala Mode were also served for dessert.

Now here are two pictures of the super duper adorable baby Skylar after her meal:

Have A Lovely Day!
