Truffled Kraft Mac and Cheese

It's Friday and it's also a holiday! While everyone of you are probably out and enjoying yourselves, I'm just at home relaxing and recuperating. I made myself this delicious bowl of heaven! I always make this whenever I'm craving for food late at night. You can cook this in less than 10 minutes, parang Pancit Canton lang ang peg nyan but it tastes restaurant quality. BELIEVE ME! LOOK AT THAT BOWL OF CHEESY GOODNESS!!!

5 Ingredients Needed:

A BOX OF KRAFT MACARONI AND CHEESE DINNER MINI-SHELL PASTA

I prefer the mini-shell pasta than the elbow one. With the mini-shells, the macaroni and cheese tastes cheesier for me. I got this box from SNR but I'm fairly sure SM Supermarkets do have this.

MILK

Use any kind of milk you like. If you are not worried about your figure, heck use CREAM! Get yourself a carton of Anchor Culinary Cooking Cream ( the best! ). I only used this low fat milk because it's what my dad drinks with his coffee and I forgot to get cream.

BUTTER

Do NOT ever use margarine. It's bad for the health! The Kraft Macaroni and Cheese box says you need 4 tablespoon of butter but you can put little or maybe more than the desired amount.

EMMENTAL CHEESE

We all know eating food from the box will definitely taste processed so to add a little "freshness" taste to the dish, I put good quality cheese. You may use Mozarella, Parmigiano Reggiano or other cheeses you fancy.

WHITE TRUFFLE OIL

I got this liquid gold from Shopper's Heaven Shop real cheap. You may order any items you like from this online shop found only in US from the latest Coach bags to the addicting Trader Joe's Speculoos Spreads.

5 Procedures as Easy as 1-2-3:

BOIL A POT OF WATER.

DUMP THE PASTA CONTENT FROM THE BOX TO THE BOILING WATER. ( Make sure to take out the packet of cheese powder first. )

6 MINUTES LATER, DRAIN THE PASTA AND PLACE IT IN A BOWL.

MIXED IN 1/4 CUP MILK, DESIRED QUANTITY OF BUTTER AND THE PACKET OF POWDER.

SPRINKLE GRATED CHEESE AND PUT TRUFFLE OIL ON TOP.

When I first shared this to my siblings and parents, they thought I cooked it from scratch or it was a left over from a nice restaurant. That is how delicious this simple recipe tastes. Try making it and let me know how you find it!

Happy Eating!

Have A Lovely Day!
