Quick and Easy Apple Crumble

One of my favorite baked desserts that I often make is this super easy 7 ingredient Apple Crumble dessert! I like making crumbles because you don't have to make those neat pie crust. I like to just mix everything and dump them in one baking dish before baking. No muss no fuss! This recipe is pretty healthy because it has rolled oats in it so you won't feel guilty after having a serving or two. You can put vanilla ice cream on top and you may also put nuts like walnuts or pecans in the crumble mix too.

What you will need:

1 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR

1 CUP ROLLED OATS

1 CUP BROWN SUGAR

5 APPLES - PEELED, CORED AND SLICED

1/2 BLOCK OF BUTTER ( You may use less if desired. )

3 TEASPOONS GROUND CINNAMON ( Use less or more depending if you like the taste of it. )

1 TABLESPOON OF FRESH LEMON JUICE

PROCEDURE:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F ( 175 degrees C )

2. Placed the apples in a pot of medium heat.

3. Add lemon juice, a pat of butter, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Let the apples slightly cooked for 10 minutes. Drain the liquid and just get the stewed apples. Set aside.

4. In another large bowl, combine the remaining brown sugar, oats, flour and butter. Mix until crumbly.

TIP: Put the crumble mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes because it's best if the butter in the mixture is still cold and solid when baking.

5. Put the cooked apples at the bottom of the pans and place the crumb mixture on top of them.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Have A Lovely Day!
