Cafe by the Ruins, Baguio City

For our second day's lunch, we went to on old favorite of ours. My dad loves this place! He always request we have a meal here whenever we take our mini vacations at Baguio Country Club. His favorite is the Kamote Bread with Guava Jam. He would literally eat one whole loaf by himself!

We had late lunch at around 2:30 pm because we had to go to SM Baguio to get pabilins of my achi and that I also woke up late.. Cafe by the Ruins was so packed we were seated outside at the garden area.

We had the following:

ERNIE'S KAMOTE W/ GUAVA JAM P85

Highland sweet potatoes, milk and honey. Yes, the table bread is not free but you HAVE TO ORDER and try this one! It's really delicious!

CHOCOLATE DE AGUA P125

A mug of pure, bittersweet chocolate tablea dissolved in water, the Mexican way, with a touch of sugar. My choices of drinks whenever I'm in Baguio will always be hot choco or a tall glass of strawberry juice!

LA TOP ORGANIC FARM SALAD P280

The day's harvest from the organic farmers of La Top - cherry tomatoes, French beans, baby carrots, romaine lettuce, arugula, etc. with shaved carabao Gauda cheese.

BAGUIO BAGNET P320

A typical Ilocano meal: double fried pork belly. First it is tenderized in lard, the re-fried to crisp. Condiments are Padas bagoong and tomato relish. Accompanied by Sinigang Soup. My mom had this. Whenever there's Bagnet on the menu, she'll definitely order it!

RUINS' BURGER P200

Pure meat patty with liver pate sandwich in potato-onion bun. This was my lunch. The bun was certainly delicious and the pattie was pretty good. The chips were super tough though.

Have A Lovely Day!
