Cafe Juanita at Burgos Circle, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City

This is the continuation to my FRIDATE with KD. We had dinner at Cafe Juanita before going to Edsa Shangri-la Mall to catch a flick.

Upon entering the restaurant at 6:10 pm, the place was almost empty aside from one table being taken downstairs. The hostess asked if we have any reservations to which we said no. She then apologetically replied "Sorry, we cannot serve you tonight." WTH???! I thought reservation is not an SOP anymore specially in Fort area where there's a million of restaurants to choose from.

But we were extremely hungry to find another restaurant so we just promised to eat fast.

DALANDAN SHAKE P95

Upon serving our drinks, the waitstaff whispered we have to be done by 7:30 pm because all the guests who reserved will be arriving. HOO BOY!!

SUGPO SINIGANG P487

They gave us tasting broth to see how sour we want our Sinigang to be. We agreed fast on the sample broth and didn't ask for any changes.

GOI CUON P278

I actually do not remember eating this.. How very weird.. Now that I am looking at this, I think I ate one and it was kinda tasteless for me.

ASOHOS W/ CRABFAT P290

The fish was overly breaded and extremely dry. Bad order.

GARLIC RICE P152

SISIG ON TOFU P345

I actually insisted on dining at Cafe Juanita even though they said we cannot because of this dish! This Sisig with mayonnaise was so good, we had the w/o mayonnaise part recooked with mayonnaise.

LAING BICOL P268

This dish was good for me as well.

By 7:15, the entire restaurant was packed. I thought they were just bluffing when they said people call to reserve seats there. lol.

Have A Lovely Day!

  1. Awesome! I see that Fort Bonifacio is a district with Italy/Spain inspired restaurants, is it? Bonifacio is a city in Italy, is that really linked? how interesting!
