Italianni's at Robinsons Place Manila

A pleasant Monday to my sweet readers!

One Friday night, KD decided to leave her beloved work place and have a meal with me at Robinsons Place Manila. Since she has this Bistro Discount Card, we therefore chose Italianni's as our dinner place.

But before that, we visited the supermarket first.

We are both certified food addicts because lately we spend our time together not shopping for clothes or shoes but shopping for food. NYEH!

KD got a couple of packages from Cold Storage, some vegetables, and a carton of milk.

I, on the other hand, got canned fruits, chips, and blocks of cheeses. I just simply love everything with preservatives! In this picture I'm holding a can of corn. Do you know the powdered cheese corn being sold on the streets? I make and eat that everyday for merienda! Just heat some canned corn. Drain the juices after. Put a pat of butter then put some cheese powder and serve. YUMMY!

After purchasing our groceries, we went straight to Italianni's to start chowing.

Our orders:

COMPLIMENTARY BREAD BASKET WITH BALSAMIC, HERBED OLIVE OIL, PESTO, AND PARMESAN CHEESE

The table only has two condiments for the bread which are the oil and vinegar. Feel free to ask for pesto and cheese if you like those with your bread.

INSALATA RUCOLA P325

Romaine, arugula and cherry tomatoes with a sprinkle of feta cheese, walnuts and shredded Parmesan cheese tossed in balsamic vinaigrette

SHRIMP PENNE MASCARPONE P525

Penne pasta, succulent shrimps in light cream sauce topped with mascarpone cheese

We didn't order much because we realized both of us ate at least 4 pieces of bread each! Since we are counting calories buddies, we want to encourage each other to eat less or eat healthier food. ( AS IF we really do that! :D )

That's what friends are for right?

Have A Lovely Day!

  1. I just got done working out so I'm starving and your post is making me drool. I'll have to try making that cheese powder corn you're talking about. My husband would love that.

    1. Hi Ech and Will! Well the cheese powder is literally cheese in powdered form? Ahh... think of potato chips. The powder they put to make the potato chips taste like cheese or barbeque etc. :D Here in Manila, we could easily get those from the supermarkets.
