Cafe Adriatico is truly an old favorite of the entire family. Drinking hot chocolate with Suman is one of the best childhood memories I have of that establishment. Since our house is near Malate Area, we often have lovely weekend dinners there when the city did not have a lot of restaurant options before.
We were supposed to have dinner at Tajimaya after watching the movie Skyfall but changed our minds when we saw Cafe Adriatico.
The cafe's interior is similar to the original branch found in Malate. It has this sweet nostalgic feel to it.
Our orders:
ARROZ CALDO W/ TOKWA'T BABOY P195
Rice porridge with chicken, toasted garlic, and spring onion; served with tofu and pork slices in mildly spiced soy sauce dressing.
BAKED MACARONI P170
Classic style with minced meat, Bechamel sauce and cheese. It kinda tasted different than the one I always have in the main branch..
SALPICAO RICE P390
Sauteed morsels of tenderloin in olive oil and garlic.
2 pcs of PURPLE YAM & 1 pc CHOCOLATE P60 each
For dessert, we had our favorite ice cream mochis from Mochi Creme. 2 pieces for me, and a piece for the companion.
