People's Palace, Greenbelt 3

It was a date night.

A typical date for us would be gorging on good food then relaxing our tummy by watching a movie after. You might think we are living THE GOOD life but we only get to do these on weekends after working hard ( daw ) and not seeing each other for the rest of the week.

The companion was craving for spicy food. He wanted to have Tom Yum Soup and curry. Since we were at Greenbelt 3, People's Palace was the top pick.

What we ordered:

PRAWN, POMELO AND COCONUT SALAD P380

A perfect marriage of the sweetness of the prawns, the sourness of the pomelo, and the saltiness of the dried fish flakes. The peanuts added crunchiness while the coriander leaves gave another dimension to the whole dish. We always order this whenever we dine at this restaurant.

TOD MAN GOONG P370

A bit oily, so pat the excess oil off with a napkin first before eating.

THOM YUM GOONG P295

Since I couldn't really take eating spicy food ( I blame my parents for not teaching me and my siblings how to eat spicy :D ), the companion had to order the mild version of this soup with was not spicy at all. He was not able to fulfill his craving that night.. <3

CHICKEN AND PORK SATAY P290

The satays were good but the peanut sauce lacked in peanut flavor and sweetness.

PENANG CURRY OF BEEF P490

A favorite of mine. I've always liked this dish because the cut of beef being used are pure chunks without any fat, tendons, and ligaments. Again, he ordered the mild version just for me to enjoy.

NOTE: The Jasmine rice being served here are unlimited. ( P80 )

Aside from the authentic good food, the service of this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The service was so great that after just a COUPLE of sips from my water glass, the wait staff would automatically refill it! This is the type of restaurant we keep on going back to over and over again.

Have A Lovely Day!
