Dynasty 8 at Holiday Inn Hotel, Macau

Good morning my dearest readers! This will be the last Chinese restaurant post from Macau I will be blogging because I myself am getting bored writing them. :D

On our last night in Macau, we decided to try one of the newly opened restaurant inside the fairly new opened casino-hotel, the Holiday Inn Hotel Macau.

Almost all the tables were taken. The restaurant has a beautiful expensive looking interior. Wow! We felt excited dining there.

Their menu is quite extensive. The menu is sectioned based from specialties found in different parts of China.

Dynasty 8's table settle is fabulous to look at. If you are wondering why there are two sets of chopsticks, one is for personal usage while the other pair is to be used as serving spoon.

Here are our orders:

WOK-FRIED BEEF W/ BEIJING LEEK MOP180

SAUTEED SPICY EGGPLANT W/ GARLIC, CHILLI AND ONION MOP95

BRAISED STUFFED ABALONE PORK BALL AND BROWN SAUCE MOP80

DEEP-FRIED MINCED SHRIMP AND CRAB MEAT ROLLS MOP180

WOK-FRIED SCALLOPS, GAROUPA AND PRAWNS W/ BROCCOLI MOP220

SAUTEED COD FILLET, SPRINKLED W/ PINE NUTS MOP225

KWAI FEI FRIED RICE W/ GINGER, ANGELICA AND VEGETABLE MOP90

* What in the world is an ANGELICA?!*

ROASTED PORK BELLY MOP80

15 minutes after ordering, the food came one by one. The serving size surprised us. Everything was extremely small. We kept on following up the rice because we didn't want the viands to be cold by the time the rice was served. The rice was served second to the last, when almost all the viands were gone. Another unsatisfactory detail was 3 of our first orders were told to be unavailable 10 minutes after ordering them. So we had to get the menu trice to re order substitute dishes. Service was extremely slow. We're just thinking maybe it's a new restaurant so therefore they haven't perfected service yet. Again, serving size was extremely small and the taste was just ordinary. For the price we paid, we do not think this restaurant is good enough.

Maybe we will come back next time, or maybe we won't.

Have A Lovely Day!
