Butterfly, San Francisco

After a half day city tour, we also booked an Alcatraz Tour that afternoon. We arrived at Pier 33 around 1:30 pm and had an hour to kill before boarding the ship. We were also starving and couldn't find any other restaurant in the area other than this expensive looking Butterfly Restaurant.

My first time to eat at a restaurant that was Zagat Rated. COOL BEANS!

I guess this is what people are paying extra money for. The beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean.

Service water and complimentary appetizer. We had 3 bowls of that. We got 3 sets from their Dine About Town Lunch Menu. For $17.95 plus tax, we can get one appetizer and one dish from the entrees.

The appetizers we got:

2 orders of Duck Confit Spring Rolls w/ Chinese Honey Mustard Sauce.

and a Kalua Pig, Butter lettuce Cups w/ BBQ Hoisin Dipping Sauce.

For our entrees we got:

Shaking Beef Cobb Salad, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, Maytag Blue Cheese, Prosciutto, Avocado

Grilled Chicken Salad Club Sandwich, Avocado, Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, French Fries

Shanghai Garlic Noodles, Vegetables, Scallions, Fried Garlic

We washed all of those down with a tall glass of Vietnamese Iced Coffee $5 because we were all starting to get sleepy.

Butterfly Restaurant offers Asian Fusion Cuisine. Its menu is short and down right thought-out! It is also written using simple words and not the fancy ones which could easily intimidate people like me. This restaurant is definitely on my list of one of the best places I've eaten in my entire life!

Have A Lovely Day!

    1. I think Vietnamese coffee uses condensed milk and regular ones got milk and table sugar.
