Hunghwa Teppanyaki Steak House, Tapei

Renowned for its fine dining, Hung Hwa Teppanyaki uses the freshest ingredients to create meals that are both healthy and scrumptious. This 31-years old restaurant with its elegant Japanese décor offers customers a wonderful venue to enjoy terrific cuisine.

The companion surprised me with a romantic dinner at this restaurant on our 4th night in Taipei. It was really sweet of him to make an effort and plan this because I thought we will be dining with various relatives all  throughout our stay in Taipei. Knowing I'm a sucker for fancy restaurants with excellent ambiance, he definitely chose the right restaurant which impressed me immensely. Auntie Christine went to have dinner with her other friends so it was just the two of us. <3

Hunghwa or Red Flower is located at the 4th floor of Taipei 101 Mall. Since the companion didn't make any reservation ( He is not really a good planner but I'll still give him an A for trying! ), we were seated with a bunch of Japanese businessmen because the entire place was fully booked. Japanese Teppanyaki is very popular in Taiwan. There are a lot of restaurants that offer this kind of service so if you are looking for a less expensive one, you can choose from food courts to ordinary restaurant establishments.

Here is a picture of  our table's teppanyaki chef at work. We had a total of 8 courses which was long but pleasant because we got the chance to talk about anything from work to our favorite topic which is POKEMON ( lol ) and bonded at the same time.

First Course: SMOKED SALMON W/ EGG WHITE SALAD AND CAVIAR

Second Course: FRENCH ONION SOUP ( mine ) PRAWN BISQUE ( his )

Third Course: FRUIT SALAD ( I was expecting sorbet. )

Fourth Course: SEASONED GRILLED PRAWNS W/ STEAMED BROCCOLI AND SHIITAKI MUSHROOM

Fifth Course: COD FISH ( mine ) GRILLED FRESH ABALONE ( his )

Sixth Course: LAMB CHOPS ( mine ) AUSTRALIAN MATSUSAKA BEEF ( his but I ate almost half of it )

Seventh Course: SEASONAL VEGETABLES

That's me taking a break from eating.

We were escorted to this lounge part of the restaurant to have our dessert.

Eighth Course/Dessert: CHOCOLATE CAKE for me while he had BAKED CHEESE CAKE

I was so full yet I still was able to finish the superb cake.

Thank you for the wonderful night in Taipei and I'm also looking forward to future years with you..

Have A Lovely Day!
