Next restaurant I celebrated my birthday at was the fabulous Buddha Bar along Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City. The huge bar was built impressively with the same interior as the original one located in Paris. The girls and I chose this place because for one we haven't tried dining here and two, we heard a lot of great reviews about it. I decided to have an early dinner because I forgot to make a reservation and feared we wouldn't have any table that night.
Upon reaching there at a quarter to 8, the place was almost empty aside from maybe 2 or 3 tables at the ground floor taken by mostly foreigners. Since we will be having dinner and drinks, we were led to the dinner area up the second floor.
Our dinner:

The head sushi chef of Buddha Bar sent this complimentary sushi to us. Turns out one of the chefs from Ginzadon which is a good friend of the companion is the brother of the sushi chef of Buddha Bar! Confusing but we got free sushi! WOOHOO!

Almost all the blog reviews I've read urge readers to order this dessert. I like the smooth milk chocolate along with the crunch of the sesame cookie sticks very much.

Buddha Bar's food and drinks are quite pricey but I'm sure you'll all find it's quite worth it. I would also want to commend the excellent service given by the staff of Buddha Bar. They were so attentive and no one made a fuss when we asked them to take a million photos of us.
