Destination: AMAZING THAILAND (Day 01)

Hello my darling readers! I miss you all so much!

I got back yesterday around 5:00 am. The plane encountered a lot of clear-air turbulence but everyone was snoring heavily to mind it and feel distressed.

Anyway, KD and I both got back safe and sound.

I, however, am a pauper for the next 4 months (-_-)

Here are the things we did during our first day in Bangkok:
*photo heavy*

Our departure time was 6:35 am so we decided to have dinner with the companion first then kill time at Resorts World Manila.

We had dinner at Ukokkei Ramen Ron in Mabini Street near Quirino Avenue.

Followed by desserts, tea, and hot chocolate at Executive Lounge, Marriott Hotel Manila.

We napped until 3:30am then headed to NAIA Terminal 3 for our flight to Bangkok.

Around 9ish in the morning, we arrived at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Good thing the plane was on time. I also forgot to bring my trusty camera tripod so it was difficult to have shots of us together. ( My bad! )

Our hotel package includes transfer in and out so there was no hassle for us. We spent about $350 for the 4 days and 3 nights hotel stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok, breakfast included. My family and I love to stay here because the hotel is not old looking and the rooms are extremely clean and spacious. There's also free wi-fi access in the lobby.

We checked in around 11:30 but the receptionist told us our room was not yet ready. She kindly asked us to come back around 1:00. That was no biggie for us because the usual hotel check in time is at 2 in the afternoon. Since we felt famished, we decided to go straight to Platinum Mall to have lunch at the food court.

I love eating here because the food court isn't like the food courts found here in Manila. They have a lot of tasty food varieties such as Chinese dim sums, Authentic Thai foods, Indian Curries, Arabic Kebabs, Japanese sushi, etc. It also has tons of dessert choices. The area and food are CLEAN too.

My lunch: Shredded Pork Shanks with Rice, Mango and Coconut Sticky Rice, and a tall cup of Pepsi.

KD's lunch: Oyster Omelet and Thai Iced Tea.

We went back to the hotel to wash up and freshen ourselves. After, we went again to Platinum Mall to start shopping.

By 5:00, we went to the basement floor for a quick snack. KD had sushi.

I had Banana and Nutella Crepe and two yummy donuts! To people who blogged that Mister Donuts found outside Philippines are good, they are correct!

Around 6:30 in the evening, when we felt we could no longer walk and carry shopping bags anymore, we went back to our hotel to dropped all our purchases. We hired a tuktuk. ( Do not pay more than 60baht if you are just traveling within the city. )

Went to Siam Paragon to have dinner.

There was a food festival happening last weekend so we agreed to find dinner there. I chose Burgers to the Moon and got myself one The Armstrong's. It was a GOOD burger. The baked spinach made the burger tastes heavenly!

KD had this insanely spicy but healthy Thai's Northern Style Sausages with Red Rice.

After dinner, we went back to the hotel and slept like babies!
