Tim Ho Wan, Hong Kong

Our first meal in Hong Kong was Tim Ho Wan. I have heard this restaurant from the mouths of famous foodies and yet I have never tried before. So on this trip, I made sure and planned it will be on top of my Hong Kong food trip agenda! We got there around 9 in the evening. The waitstaff said it was last call upon sitting down. I panicked and ordered all the things I fancy on the menu place mat.

Our orders:

 BAKED BUNS WITH BBQ PORK

This was the bomb! The buns were freshly baked. The bread was slightly crunchy on top. It was sweet and went well with the salty bbq pork filling. I now understand why everyone is raving about Tim Ho Wan. The reason would be these delicious golden buns!

VERMICELLI ROLL STUFFED WITH PIG SLIVER

Pretty good rice roll. I love the sweet soy sauce and poured it all over my rice!

 STEAMED FRESH SHRIMP DUMPLINGS

We also got steamed sio mai but I forgot to take a picture of it.

 MINCED BEEF WITH EGG RICE

Mixed everything together and this is one complete meal by itself!

STEAMED BEEF BALL WITH BEAN CURD SKIN

My favorite dimsum as you know is beef balls so we got two and I was able to finished all of them! :D

 TONIC MEDLAR & PETAL CAKE

For dessert we tried this jello. It had a floral fruity taste to it. The kids would surely love this!

 STEAMED EGG CAKE

Extremely sweet just the way I like my dessert. But to people who do not like diabetic sweet desserts then this cake might not be for you.

Aerial View of our delicious dinner.

Have A Lovely Day!
