Destination: ASIA'S WORLD CITY HONG KONG (Day 04 Ruby Tuesday, Tai O Market, Harbour City, Cafe de Coral)

On our fourth day, the weather in Hong Kong decided to be kind to us so we went on our planned sightseeing trip to Tai O Market. This place is probably unknown to all of you as I also have never heard of it until my sister Rin told me she wanted to go there. I did spend most to my budget shopping so I guess this sightseeing trip is probably the best idea rather than stay in the city and spend some more. lol. First we had brunch at Ruby Tuesday located in Silvercord Mall. We often eat at Silvercord because it's just a block away from our hotel.

Destination: ASIA'S WORLD CITY HONG KONG (Day 03 Sogo, Time Square, Silvercord Mall, Broadway Circuit Cinema)

On our third day, we all accompanied my mom do her usual shopping at Sogo in Causeway Bay. My parents wake up very early, like 6am early. So by 8, they would go out and have breakfast at nearby dimsum places. Rin and I both haven't had breakfast yet and we thought about IKEA's Swedish Meatballs!

Destination: ASIA's WORLD CITY HONG KONG (Day 02 Central, Hakata Ippudo, Citygate Outlets, Caffe Superiore, Mongkok Night Market)

Our second day started with a nice ramen lunch at Hakata Ippudo located at Century Square Building, Central. It was a gloomy day and we were sure it was going to drizzle. We were suppose to go sightseeing at Tai O Market but cancelled it and decided to just go mall hopping.

Destination: ASIA'S WORLD CITY HONG KONG (Day 01 Arrival, Silvercord Mall, The Prince Hotel, Dimsumbar)

Last July 20 my family and I went on a mini vacation trip to Hong Kong. We stayed there for 5 days doing pretty much nothing other than eating good food, sleeping in a fine hotel bed and shopping whatever it was on sale. We left Manila at 8 in the morning so that means I had to wake up at 4:30 and leave our house at 6. I was in a zombie-like-state of mind.

The Clubhouse at Robinsons Magnolia

Another weekday dinner from last week. I met up with Lyn after work and she suggested a cute little restaurant called The Clubhouse. I think I read it from a blog that this place serves simple but good tasting dishes so without any hesitation I complied.

Grace Park at One Rockwell, Makati

I haven't seen my Xiamen friends for so long. So one Thursday night, everyone got together for dinner. The chosen restaurant was Grace Park. Mariel and I apparently both wanted to try this place and all the other girls just said yes to our suggestion. Sounds perfect for me!

Slice at Bonifacio High Street Central

Good morning darlings. I hope everyone is safe and warm out there. I woke up at 4 am and couldn't sleep anymore because of the loud thunder. Kinda scared me a bit.. I was half asleep and the first thought that popped up in my mind was it's the end of the world. lol. Anyhoo one bright afternoon, I accompanied my sister to her wall climbing session. She does this 2 to 3 times a week with a trainer. I guess she lost weight and became fit doing this routine for about half a year now. We stopped by Slice to get light afternoon snacks before heading to R.O.X.

Mr Poon at Malate, Manila

Another restaurant that I grew up eating at is Mr Poon Restaurant. We rarely eat at this place but we often get takeouts. There are a lot of Friday lunches when the cook doesn't feel like cooking, my mom would automatically order from Mr Poon.

Chelsea Market and Cafe at Serendra, Fort Bonifacio

Last Wednesday, my sister Fritzi and I had lunch while waiting for her daughter Samara at school. We choose Chelsea because it's one of our favorite restaurants and the ambiance is very nice. As you can see, the restaurant is covered in floor to ceiling glass so the place is brightly lit and has this very cheerful vibe.

Tao Yuan Restaurant in Malate Manila

Good morning my darling readers! Here's another Sunday lunch entry with the entire family. We are really fond of hotpots and I love soup so I have no complains whenever we dine at Tao Yuan Restaurant.

Last Weekend Snacks: Bon Appetea, Potato Corner and Big Daddy's Chicken

Last week, Euni and I just thought about bowling. She suggested E-lanes Bowling and Billiards Center at Ortigas. She booked us a 7 pm time-slot. We met up earlier at Greenhills and to pass time, we decided to just sit down and eat till 7 pm. :D So we went to Shopesville to check out the little food stores there.

Za's Restaurant & Coffee Shop and Hizon's Bakeshop at Ermita, Manila

Good morning everyone! How are you guys today? I'm actually taking a break from work and hopefully I can keep on blogging everyday! So, one Saturday family lunch, we all went to Za's Restaurant and Coffee Shop. This place brings back childhood memories. We have frequented this restaurant when we were younger. The food they serve are kinda like "lutong-bahay". Nothing fancy but they surely are comfortingly good.

Gelatissimo Cafe and Cupcakes by Sonja at Serendra, Fort Bonifacio

Right after a hearty dinner at Saboten, the kids and I roamed around Serendra looking for dessert. Our first stop was Gelatissimo Cafe because Audrey loves the ice cream there. Whenever they come back from China, this is what she always asks for.

Saboten at Serendra, Fort Bonifacio

One quiet Saturday night, my sister called to have dinner with me. She also wanted to take her kids to Fully Book to get brand new books and coloring materials. I quickly suggested we go to Serendra because I was super eager to try the newly opened Saboten here in Manila. We got there around 7 pm and good thing there was no line.

Truffled Kraft Mac and Cheese

It's Friday and it's also a holiday! While everyone of you are probably out and enjoying yourselves, I'm just at home relaxing and recuperating. I made myself this delicious bowl of heaven! I always make this whenever I'm craving for food late at night. You can cook this in less than 10 minutes, parang Pancit Canton lang ang peg nyan but it tastes restaurant quality. BELIEVE ME! LOOK AT THAT BOWL OF CHEESY GOODNESS!!!

Pizza Hut's The New Cheese Burger Pizza

Last night, our beloved Ate Elvs didn't feel like cooking so we just ordered pizza! WOOHOO! My sister Rin-Rin is super addicted to The New Cheese Burger alien looking pizza by Pizza Hut. We love to order from Pizza Hut because we have a Palm Card so if you order a family size pizza + a 1.5 liter of Pepsi, you get another free family size pizza of the month. The choices for this month are: Deluxe Cheese Pizza, Pepperoni and Cheese Pizza, Beef and Onion Pizza or Vegetarian Pizza.

Cafe Breton in Robinsons Place Manila

Happy Wednesday everyone! Yesterday, both my sister and I were feeling a bit gloomy. To cheer ourselves up, we headed to Robinsons Place Manila to watch The Purge because we thought it was a horror movie ( we both have this sick obsession for gruesome, heart attack inducing films ). The movie was AWESOME in a very grotesque way. It was about United States citizen living in a dystopia manner where every year the government allow the people to have a 12 hour period to steal, rape, murder or kill anyone they like. I very much recommend this film for you guys to watch! Anyhoo, after the movie we went to Cafe Breton to have something sweet to balance the trauma the movie caused us.

Daiso Japan Haul

This is the last of my Tokyo Shopping Haul Series. I got all of these Daiso stuff at the uber cute Pink Daiso Store in Shibuya. Although it is called a 100yen store, the actual price of the goods are 110yen or about P44. Not bad right? Saizen / Daiso products here in Manila cost P88 so I've saved a lot.

Tokyo Shopping Haul ( Food Edition )

Good day everyone! It FRIDAY FRIDAY!!! I can't wait to go back to the metro. I'm now posting the food items I got in Tokyo, Japan. All of these you see up here were from Narita Airport Duty Free. We pooled all our loose change and grabbed everything we fancied. Most of these were given to family and friends as gifts.
