Butterfly, San Francisco

After a half day city tour, we also booked an Alcatraz Tour that afternoon. We arrived at Pier 33 around 1:30 pm and had an hour to kill before boarding the ship. We were also starving and couldn't find any other restaurant in the area other than this expensive looking Butterfly Restaurant.

Good Morning my dear readers! When we were in San Francisco, IHOP was just a few steps away from our hotel. Starting our day with this breakfast joint for 3 straight days definitely made us wake up early despite of our jet lags.

After 14 hours of non-stop flight from Manila to San Francisco, boy were we exhausted! I was super ready to take a bath and hit the sack upon checking in but my baby sister said she was starving. I needed to accompany her to find food. Guess what we saw just two blocks away from our hotel...

We spent 7 amazing days in Los Angeles, California, our last USA destination! We toured, shopped, and did a lot of other things so pardon me because I have to post those in 2 or 3 parts; else it'll be too long to read wholly. Again, we left Des Moines super early.

Now let me share with you our third USA destination: Des Moines, Iowa.

I was extra excited with this specific location because I've never read it on blogs or heard anyone travel there. We had two days and two nights to see what breathtaking sights Des Moines has to offer.

BUT, ALAS,

all I saw was the airport and the views around it (-_-)

Good morning darlings!

I came back last Saturday but took additional days off from blogging because of jet lag. I have been waking up at 5:00 am and couldn't go back to sleep anymore. Come 11:00 am I become drowsy and sleepy! It's ridiculous! I would be taking supplements to help me go back to my normal sleeping routine. Anyhoo, enough about me ranting and let me start raving about the places I saw and shopped at "in the land of the free and the home of the brave." LOL!

Cibo + Gelatissimo at Greenbelt 5

Cibo is one of our favorite restaurant since forever! It is like a default restaurant we go to whenever we cannot think of any new restaurant we want to try.

So one Friday night, after watching a movie at Greenbelt 3, the companion and I just went straight to Cibo to have a hearty and carb-full meal. We did not want to burden ourselves to think which of the hundred restaurants available at the Greenbelt Malls to have dinner at.

And I want to declare, so far, it has the best ice cream filled mochi dessert ( for me )!

The Country Club at Tagaytay Highlands

Like I said, I never get full from eating veggies. Good thing the next agenda of our little Sunday getaway was to hang out at the Clubhouse. We were suppose to play bowling but everyone was not wearing socks or brought socks. So we just stayed at the dining area, ordered tons of food, and played Bridge.

Since that was my first time to play Bridge, I say Bridge is better than Monopoly Deals!!!

Sonya's Garden

My good friend Eunice has forever been inviting us to dine at Sonya's Garden because she has never tried it before. I, on the other hand, has dined there for about three times now. And I find it quite just adequate. Adequate not because the food is not good, but because I'm a carnivore. I do not get full simply by eating vegetables.

So anyway, we finally got to do this trip one Sunday morning.

100th Post

Hello my sweet sweet friends! 

Today is my 100th blog post!!! 

I cannot believe I had the audacity to make a blog when in fact I'm not a writer! I want to thank all of my readers for reading all the nonsense and weird stuff I put here. I am actually in San Francisco, USA! I just got here a couple of hours ago. I'm super excited to see Alcatraz tomorrow. For dinner (it's about 11:30 pm here ) we had cheeseburgers from In and Out; and for breakfast tomorrow, we will go to Ihop for their delish pancakes. Ihop is just across our hotel!!! 

Alright, I will be posting pictures when I get back to Manila.
