Manila Marriott Hotel Room Service at Resorts World Manila

Blog reviews are always about restaurants or hotel restaurant food. It's rare that fellow bloggers blog about room service food. So today, I'll write one about the room service we recently had at Manila Marriott Hotel.

Yabu The House of Katsu at SM Megamall

Since all of the bloggers began to blog Yabu at the same time, I was quite curious what everyone was raving about. So one Saturday lunch, I dragged the companion to drive 2.5 hours ( traffic ) all the way to Megamall and waited for another 1 hour to find a parking spot just to eat at Yabu The House of Katsu.

Romulo Cafe at Jupiter Street, Makati

One Sunday night, we were going to the new Buddha Bar Restaurant to have dinner. We asked for directions and circled the entire Kalayaan Avenue twice because we couldn't find it. On our third try, we hardly saw the newly opened restaurant because it was CLOSED! Apparently, I didn't see when I googled it the restaurant was close during Sundays. The parents of companion were quite hungry so I had to racked my brain out thinking of a substitute restaurant nearby. Then I thought about my good friend's Jem of Mentalfeet's blog about Romulo Cafe which we passed by at Jupiter Street. She raved about it in her post and I trust her judgement!

Johnny Rockets at Knotts Berry Farm, Los Angeles

After a couple of hours running around Knott's Berry Farm going crazy with the rides and taking lots of hilarious pictures of ourselves, my baby sister and I decided to have a quick snack at Johnny Rockets The Original Hamburger located inside the vicinity.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 

I've recently watched Magic Mike the movie and Brooke said she loves breakfast food. Which made me recall the breakfast diners I've eaten when I was in USA. Americans truly love breakfast so much they have tons of breakfast places such as IHOP, Denny's and others.

After having lunch at Empress Pavilion, our cousins took us to The Grove to walk/shop a bit and before going home, we had dinner at Farmers Market. Now this is what I am envisioning as typical American weekend!

We wanted to experience what my American cousins do every weekend. So on our first Saturday together, we told them to just bring us to their favorite weekend dining place and would go to their hang out place after. On my mind I was thinking maybe they'll take us to a crowded beach area filled with sunbathing Americans eating juicy burgers and drinking milkshakes or maybe to some 40's diner serving classic American meals just like what I usually see on movies or television shows. So yeah, they really took us to a crowded noisy place filled with people alright!

So far we have been traveling for 7 days in 3 different parts of US. We have eaten a total of 21 heavy, full of butter, and carb loaded meals ( snacks not included in the count ). By the time we got to Los Angeles to spend the remaining 7 days of our USA tour, my parents, my baby sister and I felt fat and tired. So for our first meal in LA, we have decided to have dinner at Applebee's.

MAC Cosmetics: Myth

This tube was actually a gift from a family member ( thanks again Ahya A! ). This was also my first nude lipstick. Now I have like 2 or 3 more. I used to think MAC Myth would be my HG nude color because everyone was and still is raving about it but the recent one I bought, MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 outshines my love for this one. Here's my review of it.

The Marketplace at Macy's SF

I am not the type who always want to eat at expensive fine dining restaurants. In fact, whenever I travel, I prefer to just eat at food courts found at shopping malls. They're cheap; I can find every cuisine I am craving for at that moment; and there are a lot of stalls to choose from. Oh, another important fact is I don't have to worry about getting sick because everything they will be serving is clean.

Before we left Philippines, a lot of my friends told me to eat the famous Clam Chowder at Boudin. They all said it was the best of the best so I definitely made sure we do that.
