Hong Kong Master Cook at Seaside Market, Macapagal Blvd

Last Sunday, we took out the visitors of the companion's family from Macau. They let me decide where to take the guests for dinner since they all think I'm a walking food directory. The first thing that came to my mind was Seaside because that is where my family take our guests from abroad. We were about to enter Trinity Restaurant when I thought of Hong Kong Master Cook located at the back of the vicinity. We used to eat there a lot before but when we found out they didn't have clean water system we switched to Trinity.

Hopefully they have one now..

Upon entering, this was what we saw! A MASS OF CHINESE PEOPLE! The good part was the reason I changed our dinner place was because I wanted the visitors, Mr. and Mrs Aw, to just feel relaxed and maybe at home? :D And I didn't want to shock them with all the interesting Filipino food that they might not like at all. This restaurant's cooking style is Chinese with a bit of Filipino flair in it. The bad part of dining here was we had to wait almost an hour for a table because last Sunday was the Mooncake Festival Day! So all the Chinese community were out and celebrating it.

While waiting, we decided to proceed to the wet market and get all the yummy seafoods!

The visitors brought out their Iphones and took a ton of pictures of the place. I guess they don't have something like this in Macau and we were all glad they enjoyed the place.

The market was also packed with people. Yikes!

After buying kilos and kilos of fresh seafoods, we had them weighed and told our cooking preference on each one of them.

We feasted on the following:

GREEN MANGO SALAD

GARLIC RICE

STEAMED OYSTERS WITH GARLIC

STEAMED TIGER PRAWNS WITH GARLIC

SHRIMP TEMPURA

SALMON BELLY SINIGANG

STEAMED CRABS

SINGAPOREAN CHILI CRABS

STEAMED LAPU-LAPU

SALT AND PEPPER SQUID

BAKED MUSSELS WITH CHEESE

We were just 5 people who ate 8 kilos worth of seafoods and crustaceans! We were able to finish everything except for the Mango Salad and Salt & Pepper Squid.

We spent around P3000+ at the wet market and the cooking charges of the restaurant was P2900 so our total bill was about P6000. Not bad because those 2 live Groupers I finished were the best!

FYI. They have a clean water system inside the restaurant now.

Have A Lovely Day!
