We went to MOA to do a couple of errands and to kill time because I had Lulu groomed at one of the pet salon in Macapagal area. We walked around the mall to find a place to have our early dinner. While walking we spotted this newly opened restaurant. The companion smiled instantly because having lived in Singapore for more than 4 years ( he studied college there ), he really missed the authentic and delicious chicken rice. Once, we have tried Wee Nam Kee located at Ayala Triangle but in his opinion, the taste was far from the original. We never went back after. It was quarter to 5 in the afternoon, as you can see there were no customers dining. We thought maybe it will be like Wee Nam Kee, just not up to par. Since curiosity got the best of us, we still went in and ordered.
FRESH LEMONADE JUICE P125 AND BARLEY P125
Upon sitting at a very comfortable couch table, we immediately ordered our drinks while we scan the menu on what to order. Since the companion has dined at the original one in Singapore countless of times before, I let him do the ordering.
He got these dishes:
CRISPY BEANCURD P185
Super soft tofu with crunchy skin dipped with the wasabi mayo. A pretty good starter to munch on.
BACON MEAT BALL AND FOO CHOW MEAT BALL SOUP P175
Bacon makes everything taste better!
SIGNATURE BOILED CHICKEN HALF P425
The companion ate this with gusto! He was quite impressed with the taste of the chicken. He said it was pretty similar to the one back in Singapore.
CRISPY CEREAL PRAWN REGULAR P325
Since I cannot eat poultry, he ordered this amazing cereal prawns just for me. It has a little bit of heat in it which I covered with spoonfuls of rice. What I don't like about the cereal prawns from other restaurant is that they fry it with the shells on. This one however did not have shells! It was YUMMY!
CHICKEN RICE P65
The companion had double rice which he rarely does.
Feeling full and very well pleased with our dinner, I couldn't wait to fetch my baby Lulu!
Have A Lovely Day!
