Gloria Maris Restaurant, Greenhills

To my fellow shabu-shabu / hotpot lovers, we all know the top restaurants that serve quality meats, delicious seafood balls, freshest vegetables, and other needed items to make a very good pot of flavorful soup are Gloria Maris and Tao Yuan. Of course if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to these restaurants, there's always King One.

Anyway, one Sunday lunch we were all craving for it so off to Gloria Maris in Greenhills!

The restaurant recently moved to a new location. It's still in the same area as the old one. This is the new fish aquarium wall. The kids just loved looking at the fishes and other crustaceans swimming and waiting to be cooked.

The fine dining area.

We sat the the hotpot area. Take note people: if you want to dine here always call for a reservation specially on Sundays. Since we didn't, we had to wait for almost 30 minutes. When we were given a table, we called for all our orders and immediately made our own sauces. You can choose from chili sauce, peanut sauce, satay, fresh chili, spring onions and fresh garlic.

From Gloria Maris Hot Pot we ordered: Double Soup in Pot ( half Chicken Clear Soup and half Sate Soup), Beef Balls, Pork Mushroom Balls ( My ultimate favorite. We got like 5 or 6 plates of it. ), Shrimp Wonton.

More Mushroom Meat Balls, Corn, Shrimp Dumplings, Tangho, Lobster Balls, and Pork Intestine.

Shrimp Balls w/ Ebiko and Meatball w/ Cheese.

Imported Beef Slices, Corn, and Beancurd Rolls.

Watercress, Tangho, Pork Intestines, and Squid Balls.

Everyone waiting impatiently for the food to cook and start eating! Yes, we are the typical Chinese who like to dip our utensils in hot water!! :D

From Gloria Maris Dim sum: Beancurd Roll, Barbeque Pork Bun, and Fried Radish Cake.

What we ordered from Fine Dining: Crystal Shrimps

 Beef with Pepper Sauce

Taro Puffs with Scallops, Shrimps, and Asparagus.

Gloria Maris does not us MSG, they do not have service charges, and all dishes are cooked by Hong Kong chefs - according to their paper place mats.

Have A Lovely Day!

  6. Gloria Maris in Greenhills has always been a favorite! Also try, Luk Foo Hotpot located in Puregold Paranaque, right across Duty-Free... Their shabu shabu's surprisingly good too! (had my doubts about it the 1st time a friend brought me there to try - was really amazed they're @ par with GM when it comes to food, taste & all - albeit not the same ambience) Nomnomnom ;)
