Happy 9 at Genting Club, Resorts World Manila

Spending quality time with the companion's parents always involves good food.

They know I'm a picky eater so they will suggest certain restaurants that offer the few food I would eat.

So one Sunday dinner, we all went to Happy 9 which serves my favorite Abalone dish.

I dine here at least 4 times a month while the companion's family eat here at least 3 times a week. They love this restaurant simply because of the no nonsense good food and they are also good friends with Chef Ah Seng who would cook off the menu dishes for them to try. He does that because he loves to challenge himself by making new dishes. What I like about this place is it serves Chinese fine dining food at a very relaxed ambiance. So you are always sure you'd get superb food and fantastic service.

Anyway, taking photo is strictly prohibited in this area. I did a couple of ninja shots so that I can show you guys who haven't been here what the place looks like.

CRAB AND CORN SOUP P240

The parents always over order and I always have to finished everything they serve me to the point of suffering impatcho. This time I told them I just want a soup and my favorite Abalone dish. They agreed and ordered those for themselves too.. plus an additional beef dish for everyone. Anyway I had a bowl of this super sweet giant lumps of crab meat with fresh corn soup.

The three of them got this soup. I believe this is very nutritious and good for the body. Kinda like a sibut ( Chinese medicinal soup )?

BRAISED CRAB LEG AND ABALONE P2035 ( Per Person)

My favorite! Chewy, mushroom-y, simply delicious!

US ANGUS BEEF WITH HOFAN P829 ( Per Person)

By our third course, I was already full. The soup was super filling. This was absolutely good but I couldn't finish it anymore so I just ate the unbelievably tender beef.
