Balay Cena Una at Daraga, Albay

After touring around Legazpi the entire morning, one of our tour mates suggested we have lunch at Balay Cena Una before heading to Misibis Bay Resort. Since we were just planning to have late lunch inside the resort because we didn't know any restaurants worth detouring outside, we all consented to the aunt's suggestion.

The restaurant's structure is like of an old traditional Filipino house. The furniture and inside interior are all made of wood. The entire restaurant exudes this homey and relaxing feel to its guests.

Our group mates composed of 4 aunties all love to take pictures. So while waiting for our food, I joined them in taking photos of the restaurant.

They even asked me to pose for them.

What my family and I ordered:

LUMPIANG TINAPA P130

Stuffing is smoked fish flakes blended to a smooth consistency and piped into lumpia wrapper and deep fried until golden brown. Dip each in our homemade sauce to complete the marriage of flavors.

BICOL EXPRESS P54

SUPER DELICIOUS! I can now say I ate Bicol Express in Bicol!

CENA UNA MARINATED BONELESS CHICKEN P211

Savor the smokey taste of chicken that's been basked in coconut cream and other local ingredients.

PORK CORDON BLEU P252

Soft and tender cut pork, it oozes with melted cheese and the aroma of smoked ham and herb.

PASTA CENA UNA SPECIAL P195

We've raised the ante, the sauce is a perfect marriage of coconut milk and saffron. Thus the brilliant color that gives it an appetizing look. In addition, we throw in some shrimps to complete the dish. The pasta was overcooked and dry.

SOLE IN LEMON BUTTER SAUCE P216

Normal fish fillet drenched in butter sauce.

ENGLISH VANILLA CHEESECAKE WITH BLUEBERRY SAUCE P92

One of the signature cake of our Mabuhay Award winning Pastry Chef.

OPERA CAKE P92

A must try in its exciting texture, flavor and aroma. Taste Pili in this dessert. This was one heck of a dessert I'm willing to go back to Legazpi just to have this!!!

Check these out for my complete photo diary of our weekend trip to Misibis Bay Part 1 and Part 2.

Have A Lovely Day!
